Arike Ogunbowale
Arike is an American basketball player who plays for the Dallas Wings, a team in the Women's National Basketball Association. She played in the NCAA basketball tournament for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, after which she was drafted by the Wings as the 5th overall pick in the 2019 WNBA draft. Arike Ogunbowale was born in Milwaukee Wisconsin on March 2 1997. She is the daughter of Yolanda Ogunbowale as well as Gregory Ogunbowale. She has two brothers Mario (26 and 26 years young) as well as Dare Ogunbowale (20 years old). Her parents were spoiling her the most due to her being the most young. Ogunbowale participated in the 2013 FIBA Americas U16 Championship 2014 FIBA U17 World Championship and 2013 FIBA 3x3 U18 Championship where she won gold medals. She was named the USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team on the 7th of July 2014. Ogunbowale was also included on the ACC All-Freshman Team following her debut year as a collegiate player. Kobe Bryant even thanked her for launching a series of huge shots during the NCCA Tournament. Ogunbowale is an aspiring basketball player who has proven to be a great athlete. She won 3 State Cup titles for Lake County United Soccer Club, and 1 State Cup title in the FC Milwaukee Soccer Club. The pianist also played for seven years.
