Annie Lennox
| Annie Lennox born December 25 in 1954. She was born in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox are her parents. Lennox went to her studies at the Royal Academy of Music, London during the 1970s. She took a course in harpsichord and the flautist piano for three years. The money she earned came from a student allowance and took off on a part-time job to supplement her budget. In the Royal Academy Lennox was dissatisfied by her performance in comparison to her fellow students and contemplated a possible alternative direction she would take. Lennox was a flute player with a group called Dragons Playground in 1976. However, she left prior to her group being asked to participate in I.T.V.'s talent contest New Faces. Her main role was as the lead singer in The Tourists from 1977 until the year 1980. The band she was in, was first introduced to Dave Stewart. Together they will create their own group, the Eurythmics Pop duo. Lennox started working with Diva in 1992, her first solo album. It was a massive critical and commercial success. Nostalgia Lennoxs 6th solo album came out on October 31, 2014. The C.D. Lennox chose her favourite blues and soul tracks. Lepidoptera is a compilation of four piano improvisations was published by Lennox in May 2019. The E.P. The E.P. is her debut self-produced album as well as a follow-up to the art installation she created at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art called Now I Let You Go... Annie Lennox (born December 25, 1954) is an artist from Scotland. Scottish political activist and singer. The Tourists were a new-wave band that achieved some popularity in the latter part of 1970s. Then, she joined her fellow musician Dave Stewart to form the pop duo Eurythmics. Lennox began her solo musical career in 1992 with the album Diva. It featured many well-known songs, including the hit song Walking On Broken Glass and What's the Matter with You. Medusa is a studio album that features the cover versions of some popular tracks like No MoreI Love Yous and A Whiter Shade of Pale. Six studio albums of her own as well as a compilation album, are to her credit. |
